Samsung introduced the first in its history folding smartphone. The name of the device is Galaxy Fold. and it costs $1920.
The folding device from Samsung represents two devices in one. So, the gadget can be used as a 7.3-inch tablet, and as a 4.6-inch smartphone: the screen size depends on whether the device is folded or not. Galaxy Fold is made of polymer materials, which allow such flexibility. The smartphone will be available in four colors: Space Silver, Cosmos Black, Martian Green, and Astro Blue.
In total, the device will have six cameras: the main one, consisting of three modules, a double front camera on the inner folding part and a single front camera on the outer part. On the side part of the device, there is a fingerprint scanner. The capacity of the batteries (there are two of them) is 4380 mAh. The smartphone has wireless charging support and can also charge other devices.
The device is equipped with 512 gigabytes of internal memory and 12 gigabytes of RAM.
One more advantage of using Galaxy Fold is that users will be able to simultaneously run three different apps on the screen: for example, one to watch a video, and the other two — for a messenger and a browser.
According to journalists, the Galaxy Fold is only the first smartphone from the forthcoming family of flexible Samsung devices.
