Apple always keep people guessing and engaged with the news of its new releases. Some are true and some are bogus. 2018 also has fair share of news on the release of iPhone phenomenal new releases.
iPhone X- The former year release of Apple was ultra-pricey model which didn’t lead to massive upgrading of the phones among the masses.
Also, there was not much of the feature elevation given to the iPhone X, if compared to the former releases of 8 or 8 plus, other than the costing.
These days, social media is jammed with the news of its latest release of iPhone X Plus. To be true, no official release day has been given to the media.
Well, here are some of the features at glance that are expected to be changed:
No Headphone Adapter
Headphone jack was removed from iphones few years ago. Report from MacRumors says that Apple may not incorporate an adapter as well with the iPhone X Plus.
Wireless Charging
Customers dejected non-inclusiveness of the wired chargers with the former year releases of iPhone. Perhaps, the company heard user’s collective whimpers and finally decided to include an 18W USB-C adapter and lightning cable as well. This seems like good news for the customers.
OLED Display
Earlier it was quite widespread that the next generation iPhones will have OLED displays. However, the latest news said the opposite that Apple has cancelled the order for 5.2-inch display screens. It will be interesting to see what Apple will bring for the customers in X Plus.
Price & Release Date
iPhone X is the most expensive phone launched by Apple. However, this time, the brand is more interested in bringing the cost down in its 2018 models. The news of the reduction of future models of iPhone was flooded soon after the release of iPhone X, as reported from KGI Securities.
Furthermore, the AppleInsider reported that there will be a sale conducted for 6.1 inches budget model iPhone with an LCD screen in 2018. The model is likely to be priced between $650 to $750 and because of the sale, customers will be able to purchase it on further reduced cost.
But yes, it has also been reported by KGI Securities that 6.1-inch phone will not have 3D touch or a dual lens camera which completely explains the reduced cost.
There has also been a tweet from a Business Insider reporter that a comprehensive analysis has been done on the cost reduction of the latest models.
According to Amit Daryanani, the 6.1-Inch LCD model will be priced at $700 whereas the 5.8 OLED model may begin from $899. iPhone X however will retain its high cost of $999.
Learning from the past mistakes, Apple will shrink the cost of new iPhone versions to boost the sales of its latest models, as predicted by Daryanani. Well, it is quite obvious that reduced cost will encourage the buyers for an upgrade, hence leading to massive sales of the upcoming models.
Rumours About The Name
Initially it felt like the latest model will be named as iPhone 9 but after the sudden delivery of iPhone X in between the series, the name is also a surprise.
Continuing the latest series, it could be named as iPhone X Plus as well. Rest we will have to wait and see.
Rumours About The Design
Since there are various models launched in iPhone X series, one of them will surely have metal body as per the story in the Nikkei Asian Review. The 6.1 inches LCD phone might have the metal body and available in different impressive colours.
As per a report shared by KGI Securities, the frame of 6.1 inches LCD model will be of aluminium.
We personally think that 5.8-inch and 6.5 inches phone will be equipped with glass body, following the signature looks of current iPhone X.
There are various truths and rumours about the upcoming releases of iPhone models. However, one thing that is sure is that 2018 will enjoy various launches that will be less in price and equipped with great features. We just have to keep calm and wait for the official news to come up front.
